swelflo

SwelFlo simulates wellbore flow in the geothermal context. It is designed for use by reservoir engineers and academics who want to predict the performance of a geothermal well under varying reservoir or operational conditions, or if the wellbore characteristics are altered.

Steady-state equations for conservation of mass, momentum, and energy are solved, top-down or bottom-up, for production or injection. Produced fluid can be liquid, vapor or two-phase. Noncondensable gases are modelled as carbon dioxide. Multiple feedpoints, variable well geometry, conductive heat flow between wellbore and country, and multiple two-phase flow correlations are on offer.

Simulation of wellbore flow for geothermal fields

SwelFlo is a geothermal wellbore simulator, designed for the Windows OS.

It allows quick setup, easy changes, and rapid generation of downhole profiles and output curves.

Different “what-if” scenarios can quickly be run and compared.
